• Emergency Communications Courses from the ARRL.

• Participation/monitoring RACES/ARES nets

  • New York State RACES net - 3.9935 Khz 9 AM Sundays

  • Albany County Amateur Communications Emergency Net - Tuesdays 7:30 PM 147.120 repeater (accept for 1st Tuesday of each month)

• Participation in Traffic Nets -- Some suggestions

  • New York State Phone Traffic and Emergency Net (NYSPTEN)-- 3.925 Khz 6 PM local time daily

  • Capital District Net (CDN) -- On various repeaters at 6:45 PM local time (Sunday - Friday)-- check with W2JIO for details

• When you complete a course, please notify the A.C.E.S. Secretary to have the club records updated. 

• Use this link to download a copy of the XCEL form to keep track of your training which can be updated and sent to the club secretary.
